it will be interesting to see how things play out in 2024, and you and I can both hope and pray for a good outcome to the election and for the economy and for domestic peace and tranquility and the whole nine yards.

One thing that bothers me a bit is that in recent years - I guess partly influenced by over coverage by 24 hour cable news plus internet mania - is that the “knives” stay out all the time by both left and right and it is NOT the case that when the election is over people then “bury the hatchet”

As for me personally, when I was younger and in my twenties I was a crazy DEM, but I saw the light at about age 32. Now I sincerely believe that the conservative position is by far the sanest one and the most productive one. Moreover, I believe that the conservative position can be derived philosophically from first principles and it is as solidly true as anything ever proven in mathematics by Euclid or Pythagoras.
