Absolutely. I don't mind interracial--consider that this includes more than blacks and whites--it also includes Asians, for example, and we've has Asian/black and Asian/white couples forever.
But I'm not ready to handle the public same-sex stuff. Like I told Robert, if and when it becomes common to see same sex couples kissing in public--and I doubt it will happen--then TV can mimic real life. But now they are just preaching to us, and doing it in entertainment, in product ads, everywhere. And it's not real life. They just want it to be. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That's all you see these days. Movies, TV Shows, TV Ads . . .. seems like almost all feature a gay or interracial couple. Its not that I'm so much against that, but I object to them making it seem so normal. I mean, if you just watch tv you'd think 2/3's of all couples are either gay or interracial. The real statistics are about 5.5% are interracial and 2% same sex couples. They really force this basically abnormal stuff down you throat. |
