Resistance is the natural reaction by whites, refusing to buy into feeling inherently bad.  And there's also the historic facts and events,-- showing there were unrelenting efforts pushing for the moral side of abolition.  Republicans pushing freedoms, Dems blocking those efforts.

Both factors are on the growing pile of reasons showing weaknesses and flaws in the underpinnings of those Wokeness arguments -- Critical Race Theory, White Supremacy.
