![]() ![]() Section 4: President & Congress Subject: Election distrust lingers Msg# 1141838

I've read the entire article as instructed. It seems that the oligarch was bringing money to a depressed area so that it could start/restart a steel operation. The townspeople were enthusiastically in favor as were some R's but no D's and a number of R's were concerned with outside influence from Russia. I'd have to reread the article to better determine just how deep McConnell was involved for his personal benefit. Some of my friends can't stand him because of his blocking of O's nominee for the Court but rail when I mention that both Biden and Schumer took the exact same position when the subject came up on earlier occasions. McConnell's crime was one of opportunity. And, to me, it looks better and better. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ed, The article was in response to Msg# 1127944 in which you wrote " "Moscow Mitch". That's a stretch to come up with one of those schoolyard nicknames." It discusses McConnell's connection to Russian oligarchs who contributed large amounts to his PACs. McConnell voted not to keep sanctions in place against Russia for meddling in the 2016 election. There is much more in the article. |
