Differences of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries. [Will Rogers] And there's many other variations of that old saying. Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hello Tom... Stop the Steal??? 60 Lawsuits??? Audits and re-audits??? Cyber Ninjas??? Bamboo??? Media has been trying to suppress any news about how the election distrust is till in the minds of a large percentage of Trump supporters. So the board supporters are frequently writing messages critical in every way that can be mustered. Perhaps seem hard wired, to the idea of appealing any result unfavorable to their side. Seems evident which side is respectful of the Court, regardless, and which side isn't. Seems apparent which side is showing diplomacy, the spirit of compromise, and tolerance for other viewpoints -- and which side isn't.
Cooler Heads??? Not appealing, moving on, and beginning the healing appear the wiser approach. Diplomacy, the spirit of compromise, and tolerance for other viewpoints appear the more noble goals. Appealing to our better angels. Recall i'd call for both sides to recognize the Courts ruling, and to NOT APPEAL. That idea affects both parties, both sides of the issue. Yet I've heard no such predictions nor threats of appealing from Rick's side. Only from supporters of the board's side. Hummnn Who's more ardent, or pushy?? I hope you're not among the ones pushing that way. The community consequences, the down side, of such appeals choice need to be analyzed & recognized. And the board could lose the second time, upon appeal. Another setback, a double loss, wouldn't bode well -- just prolonging the fighting, raising the angst, and increasing the difficulty for future healing. Maybe the appeals advocates haven't considered the consequences. Maybe they're so firm in their beliefs, they forget about consequences. Still the cooler heads and the better angels seem good allies to be heard. |
