For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "gain-of-function" more like follow the pea... The government is really good at 'work arounds.' Apparently, they slipped a envelop to a consortium called Echo-something-or-other and said "No Gaining.' It is thought that the Echo folks gave to The Wuhan Lab with the stipulation that the funds must not be used for GofF research... we feel good and Echo feels good. Of course there's no preventing Wuhan from fussing with program budgets, moving funds from FY21 Office Supplies to GofF Research and targeting the Echo money to replenish Office Supplies. I read that in Accounting-101 for Dummies. |
