"gain-of-function" more like follow the pea...
The government is really good at 'work arounds.' Apparently, they slipped a envelop to a consortium called Echo-something-or-other and said "No Gaining.' It is thought that the Echo folks gave to The Wuhan Lab with the stipulation that the funds must not be used for GofF research... we feel good and Echo feels good. Of course there's no preventing Wuhan from fussing with program budgets, moving funds from FY21 Office Supplies to GofF Research and targeting the Echo money to replenish Office Supplies. I read that in Accounting-101 for Dummies. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here's another topic where yesterday evening Tucker Carlson opened another can of worms -- aiming his remarks at the US Health Institute which has been funding questionable research at the Wuhan Lab. And that same heavy debate was joined today, by Rand Paul questioning Dr Fauci at a congressional hearing. Topic involves lab efforts to enhance animal viruses to more severely attack humans. This lab technique is called "gain-of-function" where the viruses are injected with proteins, etc. to become more dangerous. The US admits its being done in some labs here, but the dispute comes up about an American research Dr. collaborating with a Chinese Dr, a leading researcher at the Wuhan lab. Also whether that Wuhan lab or that Chinese Dr is getting US funding -- or had, in the past, & signed off on by Fauci. Click Here "Rand Paul Confronts Fauci On Funding Gain-of-Function Research at Wuhan Lab" Click Here "Tucker Carlson: . . . Fauci exploited a loophole that allowed him to fund research at the Wuhan Lab that likely became COVID-19" Here's video of Rand Paul exchange with Fauci today. Listen for yourself, to the 7 min version, as the media will no doubt minimize Rand Paul's assertions. |
