I'm pretty sure Md, doesn't want D.C. back.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Maryland ceded what is now DC to the Federal Govt for the purpose of being the seat of government.  not for to become another state.  Making DC a state would in all likelihood violate that agreement.  If DC citizens feel under-represented than an  more logical alternative would be to shrink down DC to just the central core of only federal facilities, and return the surrounding area back to Maryland. If we go down the road of making cities into states, why not make Baltimore a state, thereby getting 4 senators from maryland
