Yes to all of your post.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Did not watch it buy seem to remember early on the coroner said he did NOT die from lack of oxygen, had a system full of illegal drugs and suffered from heart problems as well as high blood pressure and found no marks on his neck where the officer was kneeling.  I also seem to remember that the official training manual showed that to be a recommended practice to control a prisoner. If any of these things was introduced in trial I would have a hard tome convicting him, reasonable doubt!
