Subject: Secure Pagesw Msg# 878911
The site will be moving to all secure pages. This presents some issues with those using old browsers like IE8 on Windows XP. Randomly you might see a popup saying something about the page containing both secure and unsecure content. The options are click Yes or No. Interestingly, regardless of what you click, the page still displays everything. It is just a pain to have this popup appearing somewhat regularly.
I finally tracked down the problem with IE8 and the warning messages when the site is running as a secure shite using https instead of http. It is related to pages containing Flash ads. There are two solutions of old IE8 users when I make everything secure.
In the IE8 browser go to Tools, Manage Add Ons, and disable Adobe Flash Object.
This means no Flash video or ads will play in the IE8 browser. No YouTube for example.
In the IE8 browser go to Tools, Internet Options, Security (Internet Zone), Scroll down to the item for "Display Mixed Content" and change from "Prompt" to Enable.
