Description: Wendy Durell stitched this Bird of Paradise in Crewel work using DMC stranded and gold thread and beads. The stitches used are French knots, satin, long and short, coral, fern stem, and chain stitch. The work is a panel, part of a hanging in a local church in memory of a stitching friend who sadly died in 2008
