Photo From: RuthMacGregor - Album: Spinning and Weaving

Description: This is a "salvage" operation performed on some pretty awful mohair fiber. At the top of the picture, you see the fiber as it came from the supplier -- and the only good thing you can say about it is that it''s clean! The three "bumps" below that are this same fiber after combing it with English-style wool combs. The resulting yarn (spun on a great wheel) is at the bottom, remarkably nice stuff when you consider its source!
