Nothing even remotely akin to it has happened in over 200 years.

Sure. Lets all forget about rioters burning up police vehicles.

Throw away the history of attempts to burn down a Federal Court House. Taking over a police precinct, oh that's trivial. And in Washington DC, threatening to storm the White House and burning part of a nearby historic church.

Well the media hates the Prez, so that's small potatoes, among the news stories.

Recall in 2018 when hundreds of people descended on Capitol Hill to protest Kavanaugh's pending Supreme Court confirmation. What a difference two years makes. On October 4, 2018, taking over the Capitol was just another form of protest.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where:
A catastrophic failure of security. Three resignations thus far and I suspect there will be more. We all should be ashamed that this did happen, and happened with ease. Nothing even remotely akin to it has happened in over 200 years. It will be interesting to hear the debrief/investigation of how this occurred.

Kudos to Gov Hogan. He is a man of integrity and moral character.
