Why would you make that distinction? The press was in the room representing seemingly every news organization. The questions were pointed. Some would even consider them trap questions. There is one clip recently of reporters going nuts and screaming that he was irresponsible about not taking questions about the virus. And you won't even give him "credit" for holding news conferences??
The blind spots of the Never Trumpers are really concerning. I spoke to a friend the other day about the fact of the early arrival of the Covid vaccine. He said, "thank god the Chinese gave us the underlying DNA to allow the companies to develop it as quickly as they did". That kind of thinking is very concerning as this country goes forward. Warp Speed had nothing to do with the early arrival of the vaccine; Trump doesn't give news conferences. A distinction without a difference. Trump is a disgrace therefore anything positive that comes from that source must not be credited as such. And George Bush was responsible for Hurricane Katrina. Facile conclusions. NYTimes speak. |
