Trump has shown absolutely zero respect for the military....
I'd differ, in lots of ways. Here's just one example--Recall how 61,000 new recruits have signed up for the US Army. And that recruiting goal was met 4 months ahead of schedule. Those are often people at the grass roots level, yet some will go into officer's training. They're all putting their lives and trust into Trump's administration. That's mutual respect from the top down, and from the recruits up to leadership. And they are young folks, with great adventures ahead. You want examples of lack of respect for the military, look at Biden. He was so ambivalent, he seldom communicated with his chief guy, General Lloyd Austin. Biden didn't even know that Austin was hospitalized for days and off duty and not available to confer with old Joe. Lots of patriotism now, as we're constantly seeing. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Pardon me if I'm not impressed. Trump has shown absolutely zero respect for the military except when he can use it for power, intimidation, and to stroke his huge ego. This event is copied directly from the Kim Jung Un playbook. Those 70-ton tanks will destroy roads in the area. I'm surprised he forgot to bring in nuclear missiles. A huge waste of money at a time when we face gigantic deficits if the BBB passes. And that day also happens to be Trump's birthday, an interesting coincidence. Coincidence? I think it's more about creating a Trump birthday spectacle. |
