It’s a temporary ceasefire, not a peace treaty.
Both sides appear to have blinked at around the exact same time. Could be a good thing, honestly. Stocks shot up, which is nice. Not enough to cover the massive losses of a few weeks ago, but green is always better than red. Hopefully the administration engages in some actual economic diplomacy, here, instead of their usual bullying bluster and application of incoherent math. Also, I’m sorry, but what is a FAKE NEWS argument? Have you guys just decided to just put the words FAKE NEWS in front of anything written down that you don’t like? Semantics matter. Words mean things. There is no trade deal. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thousands (perhaps millions) of bucks, will be paid, and going into govt coffers of both countries. SURE, its not a DEAL (?????) Just rose petals floating in some minds. BUT Hundreds of search engine returns use that exact word -- DEAL Sure sounds like a FAKE NEWS argument over semantics. Loaded with bias.
