The Cook video was a 2017 topic of a Fortune Magazine interview.  Its about 8 yrs old.

Seems there's likely other Asian countries with similar manufacturing skills.   So Apple isn't putting all eggs into one basket with China producing I-Phones.   There's India as well as possibly Taiwan, and Japan, etc.

Apple’s partners are building the world’s second-largest iPhone plant in that country, decreasing the company’s reliance on China, reported Bloomberg. The company assembled $22 billion worth of iPhones in India from April 2024 to March 2025, increasing its production by nearly 60 per cent over the previous year, the report added. "   

And such other sources seem on board with Trump's tariff actions,-- thus minimizing the sole source idea for China.  China won't have the power of a monopoly.
