![]() Right now Biden is at a low point in popularity with Dems, and many Dems want to see another Dem run. As the DNC will likely not allow a Dem debate, and since the dates to register to even run are fast approaching in some states, the chance for a Dem to get the blessing to run seems more and more unlikely. If RFK runs as an independent--something I'm not sure he's given any indication he wants to do as he is an old school liberal, he might siphon off enough Dem votes to make your theory work. But if someone else runs as an independent, I revert to my concerns in my first paragraph. They might just siphon off too many votes from the GOP candidate. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: All the same, even if the great Mister Biden wins again, I would enjoy seeing them campaigning in the general on TWO battle fronts rather than just one. I.e., not just doing their Dresden bombing on Trump (or DiSantis or whoever is the nominee ) but ALSO having to blast another guy. DEMs have nothing to stand for so they just blast the other side. Well maybe the public can swallow the thought that the GOP nominee is a “bad guy” but they may find it harder to believe the attacks on two different guys at once. it would detract from the DEMs credibility if they had to slander two others and not just one. |
