<<  From 2010:  Scientists think the forest on a treeless Arctic Island  lived between ten and two million years ago.  The frigid site is now surrounded by glaciers.  The mummified forest resembles tree species of modern forests growing hundreds of miles to the south, suggesting the forest must have grown during a time when the Arctic was much warmer.    Click Here
