Recall that the raise your hand question included a qualifier: raise your hand if you would support Trump if he has a criminal conviction
Perhaps this (somewhat) helps clarify the apparent inconsistency with the earlier pledge, to support the Republican nominee. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Eight candidates vying for the Republican nomination PLEDGED to the American People they would support the winner. When asked to raise your hand if you would support Trump, five raised their hand; of the remaining three, two raised tentatively and one not at all. That's one hell-of-a-way to start a campaign: "OK, so I gave my word, so what." |
