Seems too many issues in your earlier photo-op message, IMO.
<<Documents needs its own thread. Appears there's very little or no new, emerging news about the documents case << The differences between Trump & Kevin McCarthy are old hat, prior differences-- Now pretty much they're on the same page. << The airing of gripes against GA District Attorney Willis are rather current. Hence replying in a new thread. A Georgia State Senator, Colton Moore has begun steps to sanction or impeach GA District Attorney Willis. He's written to their governor asking a special legislative session be called to examine the actions of Willis in bringing the Trump case. Click Here And as you'll recall, there's an earlier thread called "Georgia vs Trump=ridiculous" That thread points out how so many politicians have criticized elections, it becomes ridiculous to charge Trump with crimes for doing the same. Quotes from that thread: "Here's a video of Dem politicians raising hundreds of election objections. In their own voices you'll hear so many objections -- which makes this criminal case laughable. The video stretches over time, from recent quotes from Hillary and Biden, back to Jimmy Carter, Howard Dean and Al Gore, etc.. "Also, published reports have noted more than 150 objections to elections, including from: Stacy Abrams, Kamala Harris, Bill Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Jamie Raskin (Md), Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Terry McAuliffe, Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Jerry Nadler, Hakeem Jeffries, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, etc. On and on. "Of course there's also the freedom of speech principal as a powerful defense in this case." Personally, I'd doubt that the GA legislature will get very far with this issue. With so many state & local factions, I'd prefer to see this moved to a federal court. But I be surprised (but pleased) if Moore succeeds in his legislative efforts at curtailing Willis. Yet Georgia did enacted a bill in May that will allow for the removal of elected district attorneys from office. Click Here Various commentators have voiced their disgust at this lawsuit, saying its abuse of the rule of law to base a criminal case onto what's really a very frequent political issue, criticizing elections. Dershowitz, a well known Dem constitutional authority, is among the critics supporting the idea that DA Willis has gone too far. |
