typical of a liberal to bring up an event from 50 years ago in an effort to validate current events. This National Monument charade was just another blatant example of an attempt to buy votes.
The Till killing was a crime, by individuals, and does not reflect policy in any way. DeSantis claim, as you put it, was but one sentence taken out of hundreds on the slavery issue. You keep trying to paint conservatives as racist, and on this point your a completely off base. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: On the day of his birth, Biden honors Emmett Till...DeSantis proclaims that slaves benefited from valuable job training. Does anyone see (or care about) the difference between them? Till, 14 years old, was accused of whistling at a white woman. He was savagely beaten and killed. His murders were acquitted by an all-white male jury. Do you think that slaves benefited from job training? Do you think that Emmett Till deserves an honor? Should this be swept under the carpet? |
