Yes, I'd agree there's plenty of negatives for wind turbines.  Here's some:

• Poor reliability, including broken off blades, and the turbine machinery catching fire.
• Overloading land fills with non-degradable carbon fiber materials
• Freezing up in coldest weather, just when power demands for heating are high (think Texas)
• damage to whales inner ears causing bleeding  --  19 dead whales examined by University of St Andrews -- causes disorientation, colliding with ships & beaching deaths
• US Navy study found ears damaged by high pitched sonar. As reported in Science magazine.
• Land based turbines are showing health effects on local residents, including sleep deprivation, headaches, tachycardia (abnormally rapid heart rates) and a dozen other ailments. 
• turbines were also associated with “many” stillborn baby seals washing up onshore near the UK’s Scroby Sands wind farm in June 2005.
• Audubon Society estimated that the proposed Cape Cod wind project alone would kill up to 6,600 marine birds each year.

As of May this year there have been 36 dead whales that washed up along the East Coast.
