Steny is also getting a bit old, long in the tooth.   Yet almost any other Dem[s] would  seem to bring more intellect to the job.  But excluding the squad plus a few others.  A reason I've heard is that Nancy controls huge sacks of cash benefitting Dems election efforts.  And thus little resistance develops.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mystery how Dems put up with her for so long. Seems to me the mystery has two possible answers:  Both involve Steny.   He has her back He fears her
