A lot of people think that this is largely due to the fact that Trump spent most of his life in the private sector and he learned about more than just how to raise money and how to get elected. His policies were based on direct personal experience in how to negotiate, how to build up a successful business largely by his own hands. These life experiences are priceless for governing. I think the founding fathers did not intend for anyone to have a careee in Washington DC but that such political office should only be a small supplement to a main career. With this philosophy, a DC politician would enter with decades of professional experience in business, which would make for far better government. |
