That link is to Md's COVID dashboard of statistics. Graphics [hospital beds data] show over the summer of 2021 threats were lowest with some small uptick in August. Still way down compared to big bulge in those stats spring of 2020 and Christmas/NewYears highest bulge Then working its way downwards to those very lowest in the 2021 summer months. Looking at the counties, Md's hot spots have been Prince Georges followed by Montgomery and Baltimore county & city. PG county has had 88,000+ cases, whereas Worcester has had less than 4,000 cases. Worcester has half of Wicomico's 8,000 cases and about 22 times lower than PG County. Some Md counties are showing even lower numbers than here in Worcester. Map is color coded to help analysis. The national heated rhetoric we're hearing is very much overstating. And the masking of school kids is another example of overreaction by media, plus excess govt control along with the big teacher's unions dictating. Those kids need their oxygen unimpeded by masks. And they deserve to be free from the emotional problems of masking. Some headlines are: Child Suicides Rising During Lockdown - WebMD -- Mask side effects on a child’s mental health are real And plenty more. Md for quite a while has been allowing some counties to place higher restrictions, as needed. Seems a good approach. Biden should take notice of this Md approach, and recognize stark differences between the states. No need to fight with DeSantis, when Florida state has done much better than NY state under Cuomo, for example. NY hardly used the medical ship, but stuffed folks carrying Covid into nursing homes. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: OK. You skipped most of what I wrote, but let me reply to what you wrote (this is what I mean about this "forum." People on this "forum" seem to ignore what I write and instead reply on a diagonal or obtuse track.) So what condition do you think Maryland would be in if we had the same vaccination rate as LA, MS, and AL, for example? Do you think that vaccinating as many of our people as possible is important to overcoming this pandemic? (Do you even think we are in the midst of a pandemic? Some don't!) I give Trump credit (one of the few times you will hear me say that So, do you think that Delta variant is a serious problem or it's more like a common cold as one person on here wrote? Apparently, it attacks children, as well as adults, and the states with low vaccination rates are seeing children less that two years old in ICUs. |

(Have you ever in your life ever said a kind word about Clinton, Obama, or Biden???) He did not, however make a push to get the country vaccinated the way Biden did from day one. Trump was more concerned about trying to reclaim the election he had lost.
