This is a copy of a letter I just sent to MLB:
To: Major League Baseball Office:
First, don't you even realize that the voting legislation recently passed in Georgia is far less restrictive than their existing law was ? Can't you understand that the VAST majority of Americans are sick and tired of all this "woke", "cancer culture" nonsense ? Sports have long been a unifying force in our communities. They have been, and still should be, totally apolitical. Now, by taking what you erroneously think to be a politically correct position, you are alienating far more fans than you are trying to suck up to. Several years ago I gave up on the NBA. Two years ago I quit watching the NFL. Judging by these leagues' tv ratings, many millions of Americans gave up on them as well. I am now quitting MLB. And by-the-way, I am also quitting the corporate entities that insist on using their clout to weigh in on politics. I will not support any business, club or organization that accepts these left-wing radical agendas as valid and legitimate. Mark Mitchell |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: We thought baseball was wise to avoid all that kneeling flap the NFL was doing. THUS its very disappointing for baseball to jump into politics. Especially with so much falseness of reports flying around. Biden got 4 Pinocchios from Washington Post. Surprise -- Lib press truthfully reporting on Biden's fables/ mis-statements. So we'll stick to baseball's on-the-field activities, and try to forget the rest. |
