I just got a letter from Del. McDonough who should have been our governor. He informed me what liberal Democrat O'Malley is up to.

He plans on hitting us with:

a 15 cent per gallon gasoline tax hike, a 200% increase in the flush tax, a proposed corporate tax increase, a general attack on exemptions like the family mortgage tax deduction, a possible state property tax hike, a sales on services tax increase, and has proposed $500 million in new spending programs. These are on top of a 9% tax on alcohol and toll hikes. This adds up to a few billion dollars being stolen from the family budget and

the private economic sector.

The Governor and General Assembly are supporting same-sex marriage. A dangerous program called "Plan Maryland" creates a state board that will rule over most local decisions related to economic development, zoning,

environment issues, agriculture, and other policies normally controlled by local government.

His windmill initiative includes more than 100 structures. The project will cost at least $2 billion plus overruns. Since banks will not finance such a risky adventure, taxpayers and BGE rate-payers will be forced to shoulder the burden. Once the windmills are in action, they will produce enough energy to light up only 146,000 homes!! O'Malley has prohibited the extraction of massive amounts of natural gas from the Marcellus shale formation in western Maryland that would eliminate all the above tax increases.

We are sitting on a gold mine of natural gas but he is concerned about votes and donations from these environmental zealots.
