| The message read box loads fast enough -- I haven't noticed any difference with the new code. (I read one message at a time here on Books.) It's only the Reply window and the Post New Message window (not much difference, is there?) that take so long to come up now. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: 3 seconds is slow compared to what I am seeing on a cable modem. There are also other considerations, like how many hops from your provider to the site, etc. I'm loading at the moment at something just under a second. Rather fast. I've seen it slower, but never anything like 7 seconds. On further testing is seems like the message box loads at about one second for me when reading one message at a time, but almost three seconds when reading 10 at a time. This is probably logical as the code is remembering were you were on the 10 message page. This is not an issue when reading one at a time. |
